The Hyderabad Public School, Warangal, celebrated World Ozone Day on 16th September with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment. The event aimed to spread awareness among students about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and the urgent need to adopt eco-friendly practices.

 The programme began with the Principal addressing the gathering and highlighting this year’s theme, emphasizing global efforts to heal the ozone layer. Students presented informative speeches, charts, and models explaining the causes and consequences of ozone depletion. A short documentary was also screened, showcasing real-life environmental challenges and the measures taken worldwide to reduce ozone-depleting substances.

 The highlight of the event was an engaging panel discussion conducted by the Science Department. Student panellists discussed topics such as the harmful effects of UV radiation, the role of the Montreal Protocol, and simple lifestyle changes to protect the environment. The interactive session helped the audience gain deeper insight into the issue.

 The programme concluded with a pledge to contribute towards environmental conservation. Overall, the event proved to be informative, inspiring, and thought-provoking, encouraging students to become responsible caretakers of the planet.
