Subject: Concern Regarding Illegal Tree Cutting in Residential Areas-reg

 Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to draw your kind attention to a serious issue affecting our city – the illegal cutting of trees in residential areas. In recent times, many trees have been felled without permission, leading to a noticeable loss of greenery in our neighbourhoods. This not only affects the aesthetic beauty of Shimla but also poses serious environmental risks.

The consequences of such unregulated tree cutting are far-reaching. The removal of trees accelerates soil erosion, increases the risk of landslides, and disrupts the local climate, contributing to temperature fluctuations and loss of biodiversity. Moreover, it diminishes the natural shade and clean air that trees provide, affecting the health and well-being of residents.

In order to address this issue, I urge the Municipal Corporation to implement stricter penalties for those involved in illegal tree felling. Setting up community vigilance groups can help monitor and report violations promptly. Additionally, awareness drives in schools and residential areas can educate citizens about the importance of protecting trees and preserving our environment for future generations.

I sincerely hope that your esteemed office will take immediate and effective measures to curb illegal tree cutting and safeguard Shimla’s greenery. Your intervention can ensure a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for all residents.

 Yours sincerely,

Kavya/Karan

Lencho’s family behaves with quiet acceptance and courage when the hailstorm destroys their entire harvest. Though they are deeply worried, they do not panic or blame anyone.  The family shows unity and courage in misfortune; instead of complaining, they remain dependent on Lencho’s strength and hope. They even supported his decision to write a letter to God. Most of the families would criticize such an act of starting a correspondence to God and would judge them as lunatic or insane. Lencho’s family trusted Lencho’s decisions and stood by him even when everything seemed hopeless. Their behaviour reflects how rural families often support one another during crises. Their calmness and faith show that strong family support is the greatest comfort in bad times. His wife let him understand the imp...
